On December 8, dozens of young people gathered at the Fountain Square in the centre of Baku for the silent protest against rise in fuel prices. The rally was interrupted 10 minutes after the beginning because of police intervention. A video message calling on people to attend the rally had been posted by Ramin Hajili, leader of the European Movement of Azerbaijan (EMA). He was also the one who announced the end of protest and thanked the participants for their active citizenship.
